Mark Peterson, Founder and President 

In Dallas 1984, Mark started his career in freight transportation with McLean Trucking. As a management trainee, he was exposed to break-bulk operations, LTL freight movement, dock operations, driver management, union and labor relations as well as field sales. This experience has proven to be very valuable and has been the foundation to Mark’s success. In 1989, he joined Saia Motor Freight where he held positions in National Sales and Sales Management. It was during this time he became very knowledgeable in supply chain logistics while working with major companies like Johnson & Johnson, Lipton Tea, Becton Dickenson, Belk’s, JCPenney, Lowes and Neiman Marcus.

In 2006, Mark decided to start his own supply chain logistics audit and consulting firm, Freight Management Group, LLC (FMG). A year later, he started Carrier Services Group, LLC (CSG) as a full-service freight logistics brokerage operation. Interestingly, it only took CSG 14 months to generate over one million dollars in gross revenue. Over the last 7 years, Mark and his team have been providing logistical solutions to large and small companies throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico and abroad.

Mark’s passion is what sets him apart. He recently celebrated his 30th anniversary in the freight business. Mark was recently quoted…“I love the freight business! It has allowed me to work in so many different industries like medical, pharmaceutical, apparel, food, décor, cosmetics, oil & gas, construction and scrap metal. Over the years I have developed a strong working knowledge of these industries and play a key role in moving their goods to the marketplace.”

Mark lives in Coppell, TX with his wife Suzanne, son Garret (Sophomore, U.S.M.A. at West Point) and daughter Sarah (Freshman, Newman University).
